Our Trout Unlimited Chapter Stream Restoration program has been temporarily put on “Hold” during the pandemic.
On news from the home front – Deane Gonzalez and Tim Cashdollar have secured a 9 year lease on an “Estate” cabin in Kokee for our Trout Unlimited activities. It is known as the Rice Cabin. It has 6 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a live on the propriety grounds keeper, AND the Kokee Stream runs through the acreage. The cabin was built in 1919 and has interior furnishings to meet the era. That said, it also has all the modern “up-grades” of today’s living. Running water, indoor plumbing, washer/drier, stove, ice box. It is one of the finest “cabins” in Kokee and we are very lucky to become a part of the Ownership of this lease.
Trout Unlimited members will be able to stay there when ever Tim or I are going to be in the cabin. You can engage in hiking, fishing, activities Kokee is famous for. More on this at our next Trout Unlimited meeting, when “Social Gathering” is once more permitted.
